Andrea Elson
Andrea Hope Elson, an American actress and model who was a former actor who has since retired. Elson began her career in television as a child model as well as actress. Her most famous role was Alice Tyler, portrayed by Elson in CBS"Sci-Fi. Andrea was picked to portray Lynn Tanner in the popular series ALF in 1986. After many years of appearing on shows that were a hit, she left the industry to raise her family. Andrea Elson's role as Lynn Tanner, Willie and Kate Tanner's teen daughter was not easy for her. In the 2000 retrospective of People Elson said developing as a young woman in front of a satcom's viewing audience was a challenge. Elson, who was green eyed New York City native grew in her travels due to the advertising job her father had. When she was ten years old Andrea had lived within New York Chicago San Diego Los Angeles. Andrea was living in San Diego when she met an agent, and the part she auditioned was selected. Fusco supported the show's premise, by saying "ALF is two hundred and eighty-five years old. He can drink beer he's old enough. NBC advised Fusco to keep ALF from drinking in the presence of children because it was an unsuitable model. However, even though Fusco was of the opinion that ALF was a mature man, he could do the same thing with alcohol ... Death. In 1995 Fusco was diagnosed lymphoma. This was successfully managed and the condition was stable through the year 2019. The disease was fatal on 26 June 2019 when he was 75. His funeral was held at the Lillian Booth Actors Home, Englewood NJ.
